After many years as a
successful owner of Lawwood, a care
home for individuals who suffer from long and
enduring mental health needs. In
2002 Pauline Law, saw the need for the
provision of continuous care from residential care
through to independent living and
lack of support, specific to mental health.Pride was setup
in conjunction with Lawwood to address
the issues.
In January 2008 Pride
became established in its own right.
In December 2008 Natalie Darwood (RMN) NMC
Registered, became manager under
the supervision of Amanda Balmer (RGN,
RMN, BA Hons, NMC Registered) who took the title of
Operations Manager for Pride and Lawwood.
Pride aim to promote
independent living in
the community, for individuals who need assistance
with medication prompting, shopping, preparing
meals, assistance to maintain a structured daily
routine and to help them engage in socially
inclusive activities.
We provide support for both the private and
public sector. Individual service users needs
are identified by their care coordinator and the
hours approved by the local authority. Pride
management make regular inspection checks on
service delivery to ensure its standard and the
satisfaction of the service users.
